I’m noticing how much activity I cram into the moments of my day. I’m replying to an email on the way to a meeting. I’m checking my phone while waiting at a stop light. I’m flipping through a magazine while waiting in the grocery checkout. Every moment is filled with ‘doing’. And so the story goes…. What I would rather do is push things apart. To wiggle some space between things to allow room to breath a little – time to just ‘be’. That intentional space is the focus of my current photography project – The Chora Project (chora means “space between things”). I’ll be using photography as a tool to consciously create space between things in my day to clear my mind, connect with nature and be more present with myself.
Have you thought about a photography project for yourself? I would love to have accountability partners on this journey! So if you could use a segway into a 5-minute meditative practice that slows you down and lifts your spirit – JOIN ME! Tag your photos on social media with #thechoraproject!
